Hostess with the mostess

Been a bit since I posted. Who has the time? I do want to touch on Thanksgiving briefly. We hosted. I was a bit apprehensive leading up to Turkey Day. Would it be fun? Would the food be good? Would my precious China remain intact?

We had many family members present: our parents, most of our siblings, nieces and nephews, my cousin and his family. We were 22 people. We had the affair catered (I hate cooking again). I scurried around in the days leading up the big day: creating the tablescape, procuring apps, desserts and flowers. I wanted the decor to be just so.

The holiday was a smashing success. Having our blended family together brought me so much joy. All sides mingled, all the kids got along swimmingly. I kept saying, "this is so joyous!" We had a fantastic crew of people; it really was the best vibes.

When in doubt, party on.
